Our Contributors

Jason Meyer is our Executive Director. With a master's degree in environmental education and a background that encompasses land management, conservation education, media relations, fundraising, and organizational planning, he's ready to lead Fenner Nature Center into a solid and sustainable future.


Katie Woodhams is our Programs Manager. She graduated from Michigan State University with a B.S. in Zoology and concentration in Ecology, Evolution and Organismal Biology. She also has an Associate Degree in Fine Art. Katie passionate about traveling, and her adventures while studying abroad in Borneo motivated her to become involved in habitat restoration. As Program Manager, she strives to create exciting programs at Fenner that will inspire the next generation of environmental stewards.


Courtney Woods is our Lead Naturalist. Courtney earned her BS in elementary education from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and spent one year teaching kindergarten in Chicago. For the next several years, she taught at various organizations, including farms, school gardens, and ecology programs in both Chicago and New York, before moving to Michigan to teach. Courtney enjoys reading, hiking and going to the farmers' market. She is very excited to share her sense of wonder about the natural world with children and community members in the Lansing area!


Lynette Score is one of our wonderful Staff Naturalists. Lynette lives spending as much time as possible in the woods. Her outdoor career thus far has included environmental education positions at Owasippe Scout Reservation and Wildwood Ranch. Her favorite outdoor education topics include wild plants, astronomy, reptiles, amphibians, and birds. She will graduate from Michigan State University this May as a member of the Residential Initiative on the Study of the Environment. She also enjoys camping, fishing, and backpacking.

Ron Eggleston is our Board President.
